Sitaram Lohasavam

Loha or Iron is a micronutrient that is essential to the body for carrying out a number of metabolic functions. Ayurveda has devised a number of ways to supplement the body with iron, as an ingredient in different dosage forms. Lohasava is one such dosage form wherein appetite-stimulating and digestive drugs coupled with purified and powdered iron filings and subjected to alcoholic extraction. It readily makes up for the iron deficiency in the body and relieves a host of symptoms that arise due to iron deficiency.
